What Refill Actually Covers in an SMM Panel (and What It Doesn't)

What is refill in SMM panel orders? A top-up when counts drop inside a set window: what it covers, what it doesn't, why drops happen and how to ask.

What is refill in SMM panel orders? Refill is a free top-up: if the followers, likes or views you bought drop after delivery, the panel sends the missing amount again, as long as you ask inside the service's refill window. It covers drops on the link you ordered for. It does not cover drops after the window, content that went private or was deleted, or a wrong link.

That's the short version. The useful version is knowing where the edges are, because most refill disputes between resellers and their clients happen right at those edges. This guide walks through how refill works across the industry, the scenarios it does and doesn't cover, and how Orbismm handles each one.

What does refill mean in an SMM panel?

Every order has a start count: the number on the profile, post or video when delivery began. The target is the start count plus the quantity you ordered. If the count later falls below that target, the gap is the drop, and refill is the supplier sending that gap again at no charge.

For example: a profile has 5,200 followers when an order for 1,000 starts. Delivery finishes at 6,200. Two weeks later the profile shows 6,050. The drop is 150, and a refill request asks the supplier to bring the count back toward 6,200. No money moves in either direction.

Refill restores the quantity you ordered, not the account's whole history. It is measured against the start count and target of one specific order.

What refill windows exist: 30 days, 60 days, lifetime or none?

The refill window is how long after delivery you can still ask for a top-up. Panels attach a window to each service, and it's one of the first things to check before you sell that service to a client.

WindowWhat it meansWhat to tell your client
30 daysDrops reported within 30 days are topped up free.Check the count in the first weeks and report drops early.
60 daysSame, with a longer period to notice and report drops.Suits clients who check their numbers less often.
LifetimeRefills stay available with no end date on the window.Still read the service details; it covers drops, not every change to the account.
NoneNo refill. Drops are not topped up or refunded.Sell it as a one-off delivery, usually at a lower price.

On Orbismm, the refill window for each service (for example 30 days, 60 days, lifetime or none) is shown before you order, and refills inside the window are free. You can compare services and their windows on the services page and read the full rules on refill and cancel.

Why do followers, likes and views drop?

Drops are normal in this industry. Selling a service as if they can't happen is how resellers end up refunding out of their own margin. The common causes:

  • Platform clean-ups. Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X and Snapchat regularly remove accounts and engagement they judge inauthentic. When that happens, counts fall across many profiles at once.
  • Source accounts disappearing. If accounts that followed or liked get deactivated, suspended or deleted, their engagement goes with them.
  • Quality filters on views. Some view counts are re-checked by the platform and corrected downward after the first hours or days.
  • Changes on the client's side. A username change, a private profile or a deleted post can make delivered numbers disappear or become impossible to top up.
  • Overlapping orders. Several orders on the same link from different sources make it hard to tell which order dropped, and by how much.

"Non-drop" means low drop, never zero. Treat it as a description of how a service usually behaves, not a promise that the count will stay put.

What does refill cover, and what doesn't it?

Here are the scenarios resellers run into most, and what happens in each.

ScenarioWhat happens
Count drops inside the refill window, same link, content still publicCovered. Request a refill; it's free.
Count drops after the refill window has endedNot covered. No refill and no refund.
Service has no refillNot covered. Drops on no-refill services are not refunded.
Profile set to private, or the post or video deletedNot covered. A supplier can't deliver to content it can't reach, so drops on that content can't be topped up.
Order placed on a wrong link the customer gaveNot covered. Orders delivered to a wrong link are not refunded, and refill goes to the same wrong link.
Username changed after deliveryThe old link no longer points to the account, so a refill can't find it. Keep the link unchanged during the window.
Count is now below the start countRefill restores the quantity delivered by that order, not losses from other sources such as organic unfollows or other orders.
Order is still runningWait until it completes; a refill is about drops after delivery, not an order that hasn't finished.

The pattern is simple: refill protects what was delivered, on the link that was given, for as long as the window says. Anything outside that is either the platform's doing or a change on the account, and no panel can top those up reliably. If you're unsure which case applies, the glossary has short definitions of start count, drop and refill.

Refill vs refund: what's the difference?

Resellers often ask for a refund when a count drops. That's not how it works anywhere, and knowing the split saves a lot of back-and-forth.

RefillRefund

On Orbismm, anything that can't be delivered is refunded to your balance automatically, with a ledger entry that says why. Refunds go to the Orbismm balance; the balance can't be withdrawn or transferred. Drops are handled by refill inside the window, not by refunds. The refund policy lists every case.

How do you request a refill?

In the panel, open the order and request a refill. Through the API, the standard v2 actions do the same thing, which is what most panel scripts already call:

  1. Wait for the order to complete and the drop to settle. Asking while counts are still moving just means asking twice.
  2. Check the link still opens and the content is public.
  3. Send action=refill with the order ID (or orders with several IDs, comma-separated). The response gives you a refill ID.
  4. Check progress with action=refill_status and that refill ID (or refills for several). The status reads Pending, In progress, Completed or Rejected.
  5. If a refill is rejected and you think it shouldn't be, open a ticket from the order so the details are attached.

The exact request and response formats are in the API v2 docs, and our plain-English walkthrough of every action is in the SMM panel API explained.

Why the refill honoured rate matters more than "non-drop"

"Non-drop" and "lifetime refill" are labels. Anyone can put them on a service. What matters to a reseller is whether refills actually arrive when you ask. That's why Orbismm publishes a refill honoured rate for each service: the share of refill requests that were actually delivered.

Put the two side by side. A service labelled non-drop with a low honoured rate means drops are rare but, when they happen, you may be stuck explaining them to your client. A service that drops a little more but honours nearly every refill is often easier to resell, because the problem always gets fixed.

From Orbismm order data

Every one of our 0 services shows its median start time, speed per 1,000 and refill honoured rate, measured on Orbismm's own orders over the last 30 days. A new service shows "Measuring" until 30 orders have started.

What should you check before selling a refill service?

  • The refill window, and whether it matches what you promise your client.
  • The refill honoured rate, not only the label on the service name.
  • Whether your client will keep the profile public and the username unchanged during the window.
  • Whether other orders are running on the same link, which blurs start counts. Our guide to order statuses covers why one order per link at a time is safer.
  • How fast support answers when a refill is disputed. Tickets are answered 24/7 on support.

Frequently asked questions

What does refill actually cover: do I get a refund or a top-up?
A top-up. Refill sends the dropped followers, likes or views again for free inside the service's refill window. Money is refunded only for parts of an order that couldn't be delivered, not for drops.
How long do I have to request a refill after a drop?
As long as the service's refill window, for example 30 days, 60 days or lifetime. The window is shown on the service before you order, and services with no refill don't cover drops at all.
Does non-drop mean the count will never go down?
No. Non-drop means low drop, never zero. Check the refill window and the refill honoured rate to know what happens when a drop does occur.
Is refill still possible if the account went private or the post was deleted?
No. A supplier can't deliver to content it can't reach, so drops on private or deleted content aren't covered. Ask clients to keep the link public and unchanged during the window.
Can I request a refill through the API?
Yes. Use the API v2 action refill with the order ID, then refill_status with the refill ID it returns. Most panel scripts that support providers already call both.
