What is a child panel?

A child panel is a copy of a parent panel's software that you rent and put on your own domain. The parent's services come preloaded, you set your own prices and logo, and every order your customers place goes to the parent.

• What you get: a working storefront in hours, no server to manage, usually no coding.
• What you give up: in most setups you can only sell the parent's services, customization is limited to what the template allows, and the parent's uptime is your uptime.
• Typical cost: a monthly fee, commonly in the tens of dollars. It varies by vendor.

What is an SMM panel script?

A panel script is the software that runs a panel: sign-ups, balances, the order form, service lists, statuses and refills. It comes in two forms.

• Self-hosted: you buy a license or download the code and install it on your own server. Full control, but you handle hosting, updates, security and backups.
• SaaS: you rent the software on a subscription and the vendor hosts and updates it. Less work, less control over the code.

The key feature of both: you can add several providers, usually by pasting each provider's API URL and key, import their services, set a markup and map each of your services to whichever provider you choose. Orders and status updates then flow automatically.

What does being an API reseller mean?

An API reseller sends orders to a provider programmatically instead of placing them by hand. Almost every panel script speaks the same standard, often called API v2: a request with your key and an action, where the common actions are services, add, status, refill, refill_status, cancel and balance.

For example, when a customer orders 1,000 views on your panel, your script sends action=add with the provider's service ID, the link and the quantity, stores the returned order ID, and polls status until the order is completed or partial. Our SMM panel API guide walks through each action.

You don't need a panel script to be an API reseller. An agency dashboard, a storefront or a chat bot can call the same API directly, if you have a developer.

What happens to your panel when a provider fails?

Providers have bad days: a supplier line stops starting orders, or delivers half and stalls. On a child panel you wait for the parent to fix it. On a script you can remap the service to another provider, but only after you notice, and orders already sent still need cancelling and refunding.
