How SMM Panel Volume Discounts Work: Standard, Pro and Business Tiers

How SMM panel reseller discounts work: lifetime vs rolling tiers, Orbismm's Pro (5% from $500) and Business (10% from $2,500) tiers, and a worked example.

An SMM panel reseller discount is a lower price per 1,000 for accounts that spend more. At Orbismm it is automatic: your spend over the last 30 days sets your tier, recalculated nightly. Standard pays list price, Pro gets 5% off from $500 and Business gets 10% off from $2,500. Larger resellers can agree custom prices.

Discounts are one of the few levers a reseller has on cost, so it pays to know how they are calculated, when they change and how much they are really worth next to retention and refunds. This guide covers all three, with a worked example.

How do volume discounts work on SMM panels?

Across the industry you will meet four common models. They differ in what counts as volume and in whether the discount can go away:

ModelHow it worksWhat to watch for
Lifetime spend levelsTotal spend since you joined moves you up levels that never dropEasy to keep, but new high-volume accounts wait a long time for the top level
Rolling window tiersSpend over a recent period, such as 30 days, sets the tierFollows your real volume, so a quiet month can lower it
Manual reseller price listsYou ask support and receive special ratesTerms are often unwritten and can change without notice
Bulk pricing per orderLarger single orders get a lower rateEncourages oversized orders that are harder to deliver cleanly

Whatever the model, ask three things: what counts as spend, how often the tier is recalculated, and whether the discount shows in the API rate or only in the web panel.

  • Automatic. There is nothing to apply for. Tiers are recalculated nightly from your spend over the last 30 days.
  • Everywhere. Your tier price shows in the panel and in the API. The v2 services action returns your own rate per 1,000, so a panel script that syncs rates picks up the discount by itself.
  • Fixed at order time. The price of an order is fixed when it is placed. A tier change affects new orders, not ones already running.
  • Prices in USD per 1,000. Price cuts apply immediately; increases are announced at least 48 hours ahead in the panel and by webhook.

A worked example: what a tier saves over a month

For example, with hypothetical numbers: a reseller buys three services every month. The list prices below are invented for the example; your real rates are on the services page.

Monthly basketStandard (list)Pro (5% off)Business (10% off)
300,000 followers at $1.40 per 1,000$420.00$399.00$378.00
800,000 likes at $0.60 per 1,000$480.00$456.00$432.00
4,000,000 views at $0.05 per 1,000$200.00$190.00$180.00
Total for the month$1,100.00$1,045.00$990.00

Spending $1,100 over 30 days puts this reseller on Pro, so the basket actually costs $1,045 and saves $55 a month. Reaching Business would need spend of $2,500 over the same window; at that point the same basket would cost $990, and every dollar above it would carry the 10% as well.

Because the window rolls, a slow month can move you down a tier and a strong one can move you up. If your volume is seasonal, check your 30-day spend before a busy period rather than after it.

How do price changes and tier changes reach your panel script?

If you resell through your own panel script, your customer prices are usually built on top of the provider rate. Two kinds of change move that rate, and each needs a little planning:

  • Your tier changes. The next nightly recalculation moves your rate for new orders. A script that re-imports services on a schedule sees the new rate from the v2 services action; one that never re-imports keeps showing the old cost and quietly misreports your margin.
  • A list price changes. Price cuts apply immediately. Increases are announced at least 48 hours ahead in the panel and by webhook, so you have time to raise your own price before your cost goes up.
  • Orders in flight don't move. Because the price of an order is fixed when it is placed, neither kind of change touches orders that are already running.

The practical setup: re-sync services daily, keep your markup as a percentage rather than a fixed amount so it follows your cost, and subscribe to price-change webhooks through API v1 if you want the notice pushed to you instead of checking the panel.

Should you pass the discount on to your own customers?

There is no single right answer, but most resellers pick one of three approaches:

  • Keep it as margin. Your prices stay the same and the tier improves profit. Simple, and it cushions the goodwill refunds you give customers.
  • Pass part of it to wholesale buyers. If other resellers or agencies buy from you, a small discount of your own for their volume keeps them ordering through you.
  • Use it to price a new package. A lower cost can make a bundle viable that wasn't before. Our guide on how to sell SMM services covers packaging.

Whichever you choose, don't build a price list that only works on your top tier. If your spend drops, the margin has to survive at list price too.

When should you ask for custom pricing?

High-volume resellers can agree custom prices with us. It makes sense when your spend is well above the Business threshold, steady from month to month, and concentrated on a set of services. Bring the numbers: monthly volume per service, the platforms you sell, and whether you order through the panel or the API. Write to us through the support page.

Is a bigger discount worth more than better delivery?

Rarely. A 10% discount disappears quickly if a service drops without refill or orders stall without a refund. For example, a 10% saving on $1,000 is $100; losing 15% of a follower order that you then replace for a client costs $150. That is why we publish each service's median start time, speed per 1,000 and refill honoured rate next to the price. The real cost of a cheap SMM panel runs this math in full.

Frequently asked questions

How do volume or tier discounts work, and do they apply automatically?
On Orbismm, yes. Your spend over the last 30 days sets your tier, recalculated nightly, and the discounted price shows in the panel and the API without any request.
What are the thresholds for Orbismm's tiers?
Standard pays list price, Pro gets 5% off from $500 and Business gets 10% off from $2,500 of spend over the last 30 days. High-volume resellers can agree custom prices.
Can my tier go down?
Yes. Tiers follow a rolling 30-day window, so if your spend falls below a threshold, the tier changes at the next nightly recalculation.
Does a tier change affect orders I already placed?
No. The price of an order is fixed when it is placed, so a new tier only applies to orders placed after the change.
Does the discount show in the API?
Yes. The v2 services action returns your own rate per 1,000, so a panel script that syncs rates picks up your tier automatically.
